eReader – PDF and e-book reader for Total Commander
PDF, EPUB, MOBI and comics in the Total Commander Lister – fast, with little memory.
eReader reads PDF, EPUB, FB2/FB3, MOBI/AZW3 and comic books (CBZ, CBR, CB7, CBT) right in the Lister – with table of contents, text search, links and a dark design. PDF pages are rendered by Windows itself, e-books are laid out as flowing text in a comfortable reading column.
What is eReader?
eReader is a Lister plugin for Total Commander. Press F3 on a PDF, EPUB, FB2/FB3, MOBI/AZW3 or comic book file and read it right there, with a sidebar for bookmarks and chapters, clickable links, text search, selection and copying, and a dark design that can darken PDF pages too.
PDF pages are rendered by the PDF engine of Windows on a background thread, e-books are laid out as flowing text in a narrow reading column, and comics are shown page by page. You can rotate scanned pages, switch between continuous scrolling and single page mode, and print with page ranges.

Navigate and print
Sidebar with bookmarks and chapters, links with Alt+Left to go back, text search and printing with page ranges.
How it’s built
eReader is written in C++ against the plain Win32 API, without frameworks or runtimes: its own parsers and layout engine for EPUB, FB2 and MOBI, a comic reader that uses the unpacker libraries of Total Commander, and PDF pages handed to the engine built into Windows.
